Join with other men at 7pm on the last Tuesday of each month for an evening of card games in Fellowship Hall.
Join Trinity members and friends for lunch and fellowship at a local restaurant. They meet for lunch on the third Thursday of each month. Contact Diane Forster at 513-891-9293 for more information and to make reservations.
All of the women of Trinity, by membership in the church, are considered members of the Women’s Guild.
The purpose of the Trinity Women’s Guild is to:
· develop an understanding of the work of the entire church,
· deepen spiritual life,
· stimulate sacrificial giving,
· promote Christian service in the home, the local church, the community, the
denomination, the nation, and the world
Three Women’s Guild circles meet monthly from September – June.
Bethlehem Circle meets in members’ homes or the church Fellowship Hall on the second Tuesday of the month at 12:00 noon.
Emmaus Circle meets in room 111 on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 A.M.
Galilee Circle meets at members’ homes on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 P.M.
The Trinity Women’s Guild includes several committees:
· Christian Service – the Christian Service committee serves as a framework for Christian service and growth. Christian service activities include monthly cards for our homebound, blanket appeal through Church World Service, circle Christmas projects to help the needy, a Christmas gift tree to benefit the children of Washington United Church of Christ, a shower to collect items and money for Bethany House women’s shelter, and a collection of supplies needed in the Appalachian community of Eolia, KY.
· Spiritual Life – the Spiritual Life committee works to deepen and strengthen the spiritually of all church members. Spiritual Life activities include the Ash Wednesday prayer vigil, the women’s spring retreat, and circle Bible studies coordinated by the pastor.
· The Guild Reading Program features two new books each month, which are read and reviewed by the church librarians, then displayed at the Welcome Center. At the end of the month these books are put into circulation in the church library.
The Women’s Guild supports the work of the church financially through GIVING and FUNDRAISING.
GIVING
· Love Offering – a free will offering taken at monthly circle meetings to support the work of Trinity Community Church and help fund church improvement projects.
· Fellowship of the Least Coin – coins are collected at monthly circle meetings and sent to Church Women United for use in ministries of mercy and for community experiences among women of differing national, racial, cultural, economic, and religious backgrounds.
· Christmas Fund – collected by each circle at monthly meetings to finance Christmas benevolence projects.
· Benevolence – benevolence projects are budgeted annually to include circle Christmas projects, Church Women United, Healing Connections, and the Trinity Good Samaritan Fund.
FUNDRAISING
· Annual Cookie Walk in early December, featuring delicious homemade cookies, candy, and bread for sale for holiday enjoyment.
